Interview with Otto Larson (Vomit God)
1: How did you guys get together as a band?
It started as a one-man band back in 2008, then in 2009 stared booking a tour with some great Italian bands so decided it was time to make it a full member band.

2: Does the name Vomit God mean something more to you, I mean, is religion your topic or did you choose it only because it sounds cool? In the beginning it was very Religion-based lyrically but as time passed it was clear that there are way too many bands that follow that path and we didn't want to be another "clone" band if you will.
3: You mentioned that the release of the last album would be soon followed with videos. Did you mean music videos or something else? When can we expect that? Yeah we are in the process of getting 2 videos done from the "Exuding" CD. One will be a live-shot video and the other is a complete storyboard that should be completely disgusting.
4: What are your future plans/ambitions? To continue to write and tour as much as we can for as long as we can.
5: What's your goal as a musician? To always grow and learn! We hope to write CDs that are our style but not sounding the same on every song and each CD; changing and getting better at our style. 6: Who/what inspires you? I think some of the biggest inspiration you can get is when people come up to you on tour and tell you how much they love what you are doing with your music, that is such a humbling and huge inspiration in my eyes. It makes you want to write something even sicker so that you can pay tribute to all the people that have supported you and helped get you out touring and doing what you love to do.
7: Have you encountered the "this music is shit" attitude? For the most part no, we have met people that are not into it as much as other styles of the genre but for the most part everyone has been really cool and given us a lot of support. 8: Your album art is absolutely amazing. Where'd you get it and how did you feel when you first saw it? Thank you! We got the art done by Mottla Art, we met him on Facebook through some brothers of ours Devour The Unborn. Once we saw some of his portfolio we knew we wanted him to do all of our art. We were FLOORED!!! He is an amazing artist and is so easy to work with when you have an idea of what you are looking for.
9: What's the craziest shit that ever happened to you? (Related to the band)
On our very first tour on day 2 we cr
ashed in the Mojave Desert! We lost almost everything in gear and still finished the tour. It was amazing how supportive all of the promoters and opening bands were, they were the reason we could even finish. Daniel Osbourne from Inherit Disease saved us!!!
10: One band you'd tour the world with? All of them. We have made so many great friendships with all of the bands that we have been lucky enough to tour with. I would love to tour with all of them on one big sick-as-fuck tour!
11: Alien invasion or zombie apocalypse? Both!!! Bring that shit on!
12: Say anything you want to your fans. We would love to say THANK YOU!!! We are amazed at the love and support we have received from everyone. We will see you out on tour either in the US or Europe in 2014!!!
